TDF Fashion (Tdffashion.co.uk)
tdffashion ("fashion heaven - twenty 4 seven") is one of the many sites carrying trendy clothing for the young, and if that slogan strikes you as a bit too mannered, you're in the wrong place, because it fits the tdffashion site perfectly. And the brands most prominently featured on tdffashion's home page (Firetrap, Jack and Jones, Duck and Cover, G-Star) are an accepted part of the "fashion forward" uniform of the day, thus certifying the site as an orthodox purveyor of style. tdffashion is breezy to a fault, not stopping to check its spelling ("Bag a Bargin"). The links on the home page are telegraphic: New In, Brands, Departments, Sale, Social. Social media seem like a natural fit for tdffashion, but the company hasn't quite got the hang of how they work, because the "Blog" is nothing but a set of photographs of garments with somewhat odd headlines like "Attention!! Firetrap Major" and Italian style enforcement, you need!" tdffashion's copy is infested, as one can see from those examples, with dreadful punctuation and characterized by the unrestricted use of the exclamation point and question mark. In trying to emphasize every statement, tdffashion ends up emphasizing none. The misnamed Blog page offers, at the very bottom, a link purporting to go to tdffashion's new "fashion blog," although that page also disappoints. At this point the site's deficiencies predictably start to amuse: how can one not laugh when the blog's blog is only a silly paragraph saying tdffashion does in fact have such a blog? The customer understands that by now, but what the customer does not know (and does not seem at all likely to learn) is just where that blog is located, never mind what it actually says. And of course the "More" link at the bottom of the page (tdffashion's last chance to show the customer some approximation of a blog) is not functional.
The real purpose of all the no-really-we-do-have-a-blog text seems to be to direct the reader to the two functional links on the page, one to Facebook and one to an online discussion. And what's displayed on tdffashion's Facebook page? One truncated image directing the visitor to click the "Like" button.
