No, the seasaltcornwall site does not belong to a processor of that salt (which would be a very interesting read), but it does carry some fresh and attractive, vaguely nautical clothes. seasaltcornwall's home page features a windswept young woman wearing various red and blue stripy garments posed along a coastline, including a twenty-five pound knitted scarf bearing cheerful anchors to weigh down its ends. The rest of seasaltcornwall's scarves also have a bubbly personality, with amusing tasseled corners, a bandana handkerchief look, a pensioner's-knitting look, sharp contrasting checkerboard or Rubik's cube patterns, all manner of stripes, and so on. seasaltcornwall steps over the edge into silly territory with its "Handy Bands," which are cotton scarves sewn in circular configurations for use as... well, scarves. One can do anything with a Handy Band that can be done with a real scarf, as the helpful (and hilarious) instructional illustrations show, and they're made from kerchief material, so buy a scarf instead! It will look much less affected. The word "snood" does not mean what seasaltcornwall thinks it means, because that word properly refers to a bag worn to contain one's hair and these "snoods" are nothing more than cut-off cowl necks, cast off from forlorn sweaters. Interestingly, this misapplication of the word originated with a football commentator who used the term to describe a knitted neck warmer worn by a player. There's no need to order such an item when one can recycle one from an old pullover, but the ones seasaltcornwall has chosen are worthy examples of the type.
The Seasalt Arcade page is meant to evoke that little shopping area "at the end of the pier," which in most people's recollection isn't retail clothing but eccentric assortments of games and souvenirs, but let that pass: this page of items is quirky and fun to browse through. seasaltcornwall generates some interesting products, and one of them is its "tin cloth" mackintoshes, the fabric for which is canvas given a water-repellent, but breathable, coating. And that material is very attractive when gaily printed in the seasaltcornwall style. In fact, seasaltcornwall has its very own textile designer, and there's no way to resist some of the designs she creates-- the gingko leaves are a standout.
