Their signature dishes include chicken and beef sauté, served with their home-made peanut sauce, Nasi Lemak, an aromatically spiced melting pot of chili prawns, beef rending, and fried anchovies, and Roti Canai, traditional Malaysian flat bread, served with sumptuous chili and ginger spiced lamb curry, accompanied by lentils, potatoes, and carrots. And for dessert, there’s Mango Coco, iced coconut mousse with a mango sorbet centre. Or, an example of Malaysian tradition mixing Western: pandam crème caramal, the classic dessert, but flavoured with pandan leaves.
Or if you’re trying to ease your way into Malaysian cuisine, or if you have picky children but don’t want to limit your own dining experience, Jon Makan has incorporated Western influences into the menu.
There locations offer outside balcony as well as patio seating. And if you’re trying to catch up on some important e-mails while waiting for the food to arrive, there’s free Wi-Fi as well.
